LCA pilots Computer Business Skills Certificate

20th June 2012

Prospective employers continually complain of the lack of real business computer skills held by UK graduates, and LCA has risen to the challenge. A pilot Excel Spreadsheet Business Skills Certificate Course has been launched designed specifically to directly meet real business need.

Students joining the course are given three seventy-five minute intense tutor-led sessions over a one month period, together with a range of business challenges to complete and submit. Students will need to utilise all the skills they have learnt to solve the challenges, and so build a portfolio proving their prowess.

At the end of the course the portfolio will be assessed and where it showcases the required skills, a Certificate will be awarded.

Bill Wright has designed the course based on his extensive real- business experience, and is excited about addressing this critical skills area. In running the pilot with invited Top Achievers, there is much excitement and expectation of the excellent business solutions that will be devised.

LCA plans to roll out the opportunity to all students from the autumn of 2012 to cover all key computer skills.
