Top Achievers Continue to Impress

14th June 2012

The Top Achievers Awards evening was held on the 14th June, where the very best of LCA students were joined by senior academic staff and guests to celebrate another fantastic term.

In the presence of an audience of over two hundred, each top achiever was introduced, their outstanding academic achievement outlined, and their success celebrated before receiving a certificate from the Dean. At the conclusion of the celebration, all students completing their honours degree with a First Class were invited to the stage, to highlight the excellent calibre and achievement of the student body.

Leading Top Achievers included:

Charles Jandreau, who achieved the top mark in Corporate Governance and Ethics with an outstanding 87%. Charles has been a Top Achiever in each of the last four terms scoring over 70% in every assessment on each module. Charles recently accepted the offer of employment with Grant Thornton after his graduation in August 2012.

Mohammed Kaleemullah, who achieved scores of over 71% and 73% in his ACCA P1 and P2 examinations. Mohammad is also a previous Top Achiever at LCA where he read Applied Accounting and achieved a First Class honours degree.

Md. Hasan Imam Raza, who not only completed his First Class honours degree in Applied Accounting, but also was a founding member of the Student Council.

Top Achievers are rewarded through a scholarship scheme, first access to conferences and internships, and a Dean's reference.
