LCA Dean to speak at forthcoming Inside Government conference
16 Jan 2012
Dave Sexton, LCA Business School's Dean, will give a presentation on the role of private providers within the UK's higher education system at a one day conference that will look at the issues prompted by the Government's White Paper, "Students at the Heart of the System" published last year.
Organised by Inside Government, the event will examine the positive steps that have already taken place in diversifying the higher education sector and consider how advances already made can be encouraged and improved. The conference is aimed at offering delegates the chance to discuss opportunities for collaboration between public and private sector organisations and to explore how best to capitalise on higher education reforms to improve the sector for all.
The keynote address will be given by Gordon McKenzie, Deputy Director, Higher Education Strategy and Funding, Department for Business Innovation and Skills; other speakers include Rob Behrens, Independent Adjudicator and Chief Executive, Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education and Prof Claire Callender of Birkbeck College, University of London.
